Born In New York and now living in Vermont, the son of a Jazz saxophonist, Ian was exposed to the great Jazz, Blues, and Rock at a very early age. First picking up a pair of sticks at age 4, Ian knew right away that he would play drums. Studying with Jeff Salisbury and Dom Famularo, Ian started performing live with local and high school bands at age 13. After graduation, Ian moved right into working in the local Burlington scene and venturing to New York to explore the New York scene and started working with anyone he could work with.
Ian has shared the stage and been on record with Megan and Liz, Joe McGinness, Rick and the Ramblers, David Pollack, Keeghan Nolan, and countless more. Ian continues to keep a very busy session and live schedule. He also teaches privately in the Burlington, Vermont area and does offer lessons in New York upon request. Ian currently maintains a very busy gigging and session schedule all over the northeast, playing all styles.
